Our Events
The activities kicked off with an exclusive workshop on November 25th, where 2022 World Barista Champion and MILKLAB Brand Ambassador, Anthony Douglas, shared his expertise in plant-based coffee with over 70 attendees at PT. Kurnia Mitra Duta Sentosa Tbk.’s showroom. Following this, MILKLAB and EXPAT ROASTER concluded the EXPAT X MILKLAB Barista Battle 2024 on November 26th at Beachwalk Mall Kuta, a competition that showcased Indonesia’s top barista talent and crowned Ahmad Amirudin from Jiwan Bogor (Jakarta) as the winner, earning him the chance to represent Indonesia at the MILKLAB International Barista Championship 2025 in Melbourne. To celebrate these successes and foster community, MILKLAB hosted a Sunset Party at Beachwalk Mall Bali, launching the MILKLAB Cafe Collab Program to connect Bali’s cafes and elevate the plant-based coffee experience, while also unveiling a new art collaboration with Balinese illustrator studio, Florto by Monez, featuring limited-edition designs that celebrate Balinese culture. MILKLAB is committed to building on this momentum and promises to return with an even bigger and more impactful collaboration in 2025.
This exciting program aims to further enrich Bali’s vibrant coffee scene. Participating Bali cafes will gain access to MILKLAB’s premium range of plant-based milk alternatives, renowned for their quality and barista-friendliness, enabling them to offer customers an unparalleled plant-based coffee experience. We will also actively promote these Bali cafes on our website and social media platforms. Share your signature drink story & recipe; a unique recipe featuring MILKLAB with a stunning presentation that captures the essence of your signature creation. The journey begins with a pre-qualification round, where 50 nominees will be selected based on creativity, concept, and potential.
Next, it’s your time to shine through the Public Voting!
From these 50, the top 12 most voted cafés will be chosen by the public from 20 July- 15 August— based on the strength of their story and visual presentation.
Finally, the Top 12 Finalists will advance to the Final Showdown on 27 August, where an esteemed panel of judges will select 3 winners.
